It seems the one thing that all brides tend to stress about is the dreaded bridesmaid dress. They are either worried about the price, finding a style that everyone will look good in, or something they think their bm will wear again. I've yet to see it but the styles are getting better every year. Here are a few of my favorites if your still looking...

I love the colors of these

To belt or not to belt?

If your wedding dress doesn't make you feel like a million dress, you need to keep looking. There are many styles and trends to choose from and worth the hunt. One of my favorite trends has been the belt or sash. There are so many different styles and it is another way to make your dress your own. I fell in love with a belt before I even found my dress. Some belts are permanently made into the dress while others are removable. Mine was removable, I did not add it until the reception which really changed the feel of my dress and I loved it! We have a feeling this trend is going to stick around for awhile. Even if you feel like it's not you, give it a try when your trying on dresses, it won't hurt and you might surprise yourself.
Here are a few of my favs.

Judd Waddell
A way to make a small waist look even smaller and who doesn't want that!

If you aren't into the crystals or beading, you can always try a satin sash as well.

2011 wedding trend #1

The 2011 wedding season is just around the corner! We will be showing you some of the 2011 wedding trends for the next few posts.

Get ready to show some leg ladies, short bridal dresses are a hot trend for 2011. If you haven't already noticed almost all the designers have now added short wedding dresses into their collections for next year. Don't worry if you or your families heart is set on the traditional wedding gown it's okay, you can now do both! Having a dress change for the reception is not only fun but a little more practical, if you love to dance it makes it much easier to move in.

Here are a few of my favs!

SATC 2

The girls showed us a fashion preview at the premiere of Sex and the City 2 in New York city. I am in love with SJP's neon Valentino dress. The color is amazing. The movie had a 10 million dollar wardrobe budget  so I am sure we will have more fashion trends coming our way.

One more days ladies!!!!
Not only do I want her dress but I want her arms! Seriously!!

The Limited Wedding Collection

Today I've been working on an inspiration board and took a break to check my personal e-mail and found something kinda exciting. The limited is now coming out with a new Wedding & Events collection. The collection, featuring wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses, debuts June 3rd. I'm very anxious to see what this collection will look like. The gowns will retails for $298 and bridesmaids $89.50

VP of design Elliot Staples described the emergence of bridalwear as an organic venture for the line. “Our customers are always telling us that they wear our dresses to weddings so this was a natural progression. We’re keeping the aesthetic the same–clean, classic and feminine–but now we’re able to capture a new part of the same customer’s life [her wedding day].”

Sex and the City Vogue shoot

May is truly one big “celebrationpalooza” for me. I have mother’s day, my dad and stepmoms anniversary, my husband’s 29th b-day, my dogs 6th b-day, my little brothers 5th b-day, my little sisters 16th b-day, my good friends jessi’s b-day, and finally ending the month is yours truly (I will be 26!). I have to be honest, out of the countless celebrations I have to look forward to; I am most excited for mine. Want to know why??? For two years in a row, I have had a special present of having the Sex and the City movie released on my birthday weekend!!
In light of Sex and the City 2 opening in 28 days, I thought it would be fitting to pay tribute to the lovely Vogue wedding shoot in the first film. For someone like me to be on the set that day would have been my idea of heaven. All the shoes, jewelry, designer gowns, and SJP (I can hear the angels singing).

Real life Vogue photographer, Patrick Demarchelier, shot Sarah Jessica Park that day in seven different designer gowns. Many people don’t know that creator Michael Patrick King actually wanted an additional dress to be featured in the shoot. A Yves Saint Laurent dress from the 60’s collection. Sadly, none of the movies pleas were convincing enough for the YSL foundation and the dress stayed in France.

In the end, there is only one dress with which Carrie falls in love- the Vivienne Westwood. After the shoot, Westwood sends Carrie the dress as a gift, and the rest, of course, is movie history.

The winner, a one of a kind
from the Fall 2007 collection.

Mirand, Charlotte, and Samantha all wore Zac Posen gowns paired with Dior shoes.
My favorite was Charlottes.

To look at all the dresses featured in the shoot, enjoy this clip from the movie
