Our Royal Wedding Party
Most people think I am crazy for getting up at 3:15 a.m to watch a wedding of two people I don't even know but let me tell you it was soooooo worth it and I had all my wedding industry twitter friends who are as crazy as me! Since I wasn't alive for Princess Diana's famous wedding this is my first big royal wedding and it did not disappoint.

Past Royal Wedding Details
We are less than 24 hours away from one of the biggest weddings!! It seems that people are either so excited or could careless and wants the hoopla to be over. Being a wedding planner you can guess which category I fall into. I will be having a royal wedding sleepover on Thursday night and getting up at 4 a.m with the birds. Our post on the party will be up on Friday... if I am awake. I did some research on some of the past royal weddings so grab some tea and enjoy!
In 1840 Queen Victoria started a fashion trend that to this day most brides choose to follow. Queen Victoria decided to go against a dress of color and choose to wear an extravagant all white gown.
How can we not mention the most famous royal wedding to date...Princess Diana. You can not talk about famous wedding dresses without thinking about Princess Di. The gown created by Elizabeth and David Emanuel was made of ivory silk, antique lace, and pure taffeta, with 10,000 pearls and sequins and of course their is the 25-foot train.
You won't be hearing Beyonce's "single ladies" at the royal wedding for the bouquet toss because their won't be one. This wedding tradition is not followed and instead the bouquet will be placed on the grave of a unknown solider in the Westminster Abbey cemetery the day after the wedding. This started with Queen Elizabeth II and is assumed that Kate Middleton will do the same.
A little fact about our future Princess is that Kate Middleton at age 29 will be the oldest bride to marry a future king. There have been brides older in a the kings second marriages but not by much, the oldest bride was Catherine Parr who was the 6th wife of Henry VIII who was 30 when she married in 1543.

Oscar fashion
I wasn't planning on doing a post on the Oscar fashions since I've done a few of the awards already but Mila Kunis dress alone changed my mind. I'm going to keep it short and simple. Here are a few of my favs.

SAG Awards
I love award season! I usually just watch the pre-show and watch the rest of the show on fast forward since they are 4 hours long sometimes. The dress selection for the SAG awards were sooooo much better then the golden globes. Here are some of my favs. Good news if you can't afford these designer gowns, the knock offs should be out within a few days.

First look of Nicole and Joel's wedding photos!!
Not sure why a German magazine got the first pictures of Nicole Richie and Joel Maddens wedding but I'm not complaining because they are out YAY!!
Nicole looks gorgeous in her lace, tulle, and organza Marchesa gown. She said she was inspired by the one Grace Kelly wore in her wedding to the Prince Rainier of Monaco.
A little grainy from the magazine (out tomorrow) but I'll take it

SATC 2
The girls showed us a fashion preview at the premiere of Sex and the City 2 in New York city. I am in love with SJP's neon Valentino dress. The color is amazing. The movie had a 10 million dollar wardrobe budget so I am sure we will have more fashion trends coming our way.

Sex and the City Vogue shoot
May is truly one big “celebrationpalooza” for me. I have mother’s day, my dad and stepmoms anniversary, my husband’s 29th b-day, my dogs 6th b-day, my little brothers 5th b-day, my little sisters 16th b-day, my good friends jessi’s b-day, and finally ending the month is yours truly (I will be 26!). I have to be honest, out of the countless celebrations I have to look forward to; I am most excited for mine. Want to know why??? For two years in a row, I have had a special present of having the Sex and the City movie released on my birthday weekend!!
In light of Sex and the City 2 opening in 28 days, I thought it would be fitting to pay tribute to the lovely Vogue wedding shoot in the first film. For someone like me to be on the set that day would have been my idea of heaven. All the shoes, jewelry, designer gowns, and SJP (I can hear the angels singing).
Real life Vogue photographer, Patrick Demarchelier, shot Sarah Jessica Park that day in seven different designer gowns. Many people don’t know that creator Michael Patrick King actually wanted an additional dress to be featured in the shoot. A Yves Saint Laurent dress from the 60’s collection. Sadly, none of the movies pleas were convincing enough for the YSL foundation and the dress stayed in France.
In the end, there is only one dress with which Carrie falls in love- the Vivienne Westwood. After the shoot, Westwood sends Carrie the dress as a gift, and the rest, of course, is movie history.
