Happy 4th of July!!

I was going to try and stay away from the computer this weekend but I had an itch to do a quick 4th of July board (you know I'm a sucker for themes). I have 30 minutes to finish before Kinsey comes home from his run and bust me so here we go...

Grin and Bake It has these super cute strawberries. 

I usually make the usual cool whip cake with R&B flag berries but how proud would I be if I could do a cake like Krissys-creations

I love nautical stripes! if I wasn't preggo I would be wearing this on Monday. 

Orange Inspiration

I have to be honest, I've never been a fan of orange. I never found it to be a nice color and for the longest time it made me think of Halloween, and when I saw the students of a college whose sole color was orange (so unflattering) it made me thankful for my scarlet and gray. Getting a little off track BUT there is an orange light at the end of the tunnel. The past summer or two I have noticed that orange is making a come back, if it was ever "in" to begin with, and I'm sorta liking it!!! Now if you don't have a tan FORGET it! But if you happen to have a glow then I think the orange and gold jewelry is so pretty. For a color I once detested I am now turning the corner everywhere and finding something orange I like: sundresses, room decor, flowers, etc

I understand I have babbled way to long to introduce an inspiration board but I felt like I needed to explain how far I have come in doing a board like this.

Although my outlook has changed it hasn't changed enough to like this....(sorry sports fans)

Ever since buying a house I have been on home decor blogs and sites about as much as I am wedding. It is so fun to look at all the different style homes and rooms. If I wasn't doing wedding and events I would want to be a interior designer. One house that I have loved for the past couple of years is the bachelor house haha. I am a big fan of the show but even bigger fan of the decor at the house. I am usually looking behind the contestants as they talk to look at the details. Today's inspiration comes from the kelly green wall on the show.

I could use a little less going on for the wall but obsessed with the color.

I might be breaking out the paint soon!!

If your looking for a romantic color for your wedding soft pink is a great choice. I loved searching for pale pink inspiration, I could have doubled this board! My favorite...the cake!
